Have you ever wondered if the poets of the past were still with us today, what their Mossery book covers would look like? We thought about it and don't worry, we got you cover-ed.

Here’s a fun little list we put together (yes, we actually printed out these covers!) so let’s go on a ride!

1

Sylvia Plath

Well known for exploring her own trials and tribulations in life, Sylvia Plath wrote poems like Daddy and Mirror, and her only novel, The Bell Jar. An open book with nothing to hide, we think that Plath would go for a simple but bold Plain Burgundy notebook.

2

E.E Cummings

An electric character, E.E Cummings entered the literary world with poems like [i carry your heart with me(i carry it in], and [in Just-] that made the avant-garde palatable. We think that an innovator like him would pick our Coral cover just to make a point!

3

Rumi

It has been centuries but Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī is still a central figure in literature. Only Breath and All Rivers At Once are few of his many works on life and spirituality. Hence, we think that Rūmī may go for our Dawn notebook for its simple beauty.

4

Maya Angelou

Maya Angelou who rose with works like Still I Rise and On the Pulse of Morning made it so that women of colour can speak their truth loudly and proudly. Bright and unapologetic, we think that Angelou would go for the Sunshine Yellow cover.

5

Edgar Allan Poe

Lastly, our resident Gothic poet, Edgar Allan Poe ends the list with a Plain Black notebook. Famous for his poem, The Raven, and his short story, The Tell-tale Heart, this book cover is probably the best fit for his romantic melancholy.

So, what do you think of our choices?

The special thing about our covers is that there’s always something for everyone. If you want to make it a little more personal, you can always customise it with your name or even your horoscope sign.

Thus, if you haven’t gotten your Mossery notebook, check out our array of cover choices here and we can’t wait to send it out to you!
